Jane Luciano’s insights and executive experience are evidence that companies that engage in internal analysis about their operations, process, and talent, and take practical steps to ensure alignment of high-level goals, objectives, organizational culture, employee roles, and financial performance, will be the leaders in their industries. I was particularly pleased that she acknowledged how culture affects business performance, and that in her company, behaviors as well as results are clearly identified and included in performance management programs. In addition, her company’s actions to accelerate and improve the integration of newer employees through targeted mentoring, early involvement on cross-functional projects, and identifying ways to learn about and understand their colleague’s expertise is admirable. What a great example for others to follow.
